Hello!

I’m Sarah Excell, and I’m here to make your date nights more affordable, interesting, and doable!

Several years ago, my husband and I found ourselves with little kids and little money, but we still wanted to find ways to connect each week. We made a goal to prioritize date night, and this turned into a creative dating from home experiment!

We learned it IS possible to date with young kids…without forking over your entire savings to a babysitter, and I’m excited to show you how. We kept track of all our date ideas to give you a no-fuss way to connect with your spouse even when you’re a tired, busy, and frugal parent of young kids.

My husband and I have been married 15 years and are now entering the tween years with our 4 boys. As our kids become more independent, we enjoy an occasional date night out, but we remain grateful for the years we spent making date night a habit even when it wasn’t easy.

Did you know less than 50% of married couples regularly do date night? I avoided date nights because I felt tired, overwhelmed, and busy as a young mom. However, when we started having regular date nights, it brought a sense of excitement, anticipation, and novelty to our relationship that gave me unexpected energy to get through the monotony of the week.

Join me in giving date night a try!
